Thanet Under Threat

Green spaces, parks, school playing fields, people's gardens - every day another piece of open space is being built on.

People are getting angry but what can they do about it?

"Thanet Under Threat" is a documentary film which looks at the way the eastern corner of Kent is in danger of sinking under a tide of concrete.

The film provides graphic evidence of the way the area of Thanet is being transformed, as green space disappears under the bulldozers.

It features interviews with both residents and the area's politicians, and charts a history of protest against over-development in the area.

At the heart of the problem, it seems, is a deficit of democracy - people are just not able to get their voices heard. Is there a better way forward?
